This project was located behind the Slave Falls Generating Station and allowed only winter access to crews. It involved the placement of rockfill for stabilization and new concrete in place of existing stoplogs. In order to avoid barging, concrete was delivered to site in bags and all of the other materials (rebar, waterstop, forms, etc.) was also delivered in the winter. An EFCO cofferdam system was used to dewater each bay. Then the existing stoplog was removed, the old concrete demolished, new rebar placed along with new concrete. Once completed the strand anchors were installed and the remainder of the rockfill was placed.
