scope:
The project consists of replacing the existing woodstave portion of the penstock, which was constructed in 1954 and has reached the end of its useful life, with a new steel penstock.
In order to carry out the work, water levels had to be lowered, revealing old infrastructure not seen in the lifetime of many area residents. The water levels were lowered by closing all upstream gates to keep the water low during construction.
highlights include:
- Completion of the Recon Block Wall.
- 8 of 16 Penstock sections have been placed.
- 15 of 20 Penstock foundations have been installed.
- Work has started on the Anchor Block
