Description:
Pennecon Technical Services (PTS) was contracted by Braya Renewable Fuels LP for the EPC on a new process control building at its Come by Chance, NL refinery. This building houses the refinery’s Central Control Room, including operator terminal stations provided under a new Process Control System being supplied by ABB Canada.
As a building located with the potential blast zone of the refinery’s operations, the building design included some unique considerations, not the least of which were blast-rating per API standards. PTS worked with its out-of-province subcontractor worked to deliver the 12m wide x 24m long structure in a compressed timeline using modular construction techniques.
