Lucas Evans brings over 16 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry to his role as Vice President, Heavy Civil, Eastern Canada. He is responsible for pursuing and executing major infrastructure projects across the region, with a focus on strategic growth and client relationships. Lucas has played a pivotal role in some of Canada’s largest and most complex projects, including the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Project and CNRL’s Albian Sands and Jackpine Mines.

A strategic leader with a keen focus on business development, Lucas is committed to fostering strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders. His expertise extends to project management, contract negotiation, and claims management on projects valued from $10 million to over $1 billion. Lucas is recognized for his ability to lead teams through all phases of project delivery, ensuring successful outcomes in safety, quality, and schedule performance.

Before joining Pennecon, Lucas held positions in mining and construction. He was a Mine Engineer with Vale at the Voisey’s Bay Nickel Mine and served as Project Engineer with North American Construction Group in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP).
