Lorne Bennett

Since joining Pennecon in 2007, Lorne has developed and implemented human resources functions across all divisions of the company. Previously, Lorne held various positions in the oil and gas sector, including his role as the Labour Relations Advisor for Hibernia Management and Development Company, as well as Human Resources Manager for Imperial Oil’s Nanticoke Refinery in Ontario. Lorne graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1988 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Human Resources and Labour Relations. He worked for 10 years in the provincial healthcare sector as a labour relations consultant, representing employers in collective bargaining, grievance management, arbitration and collective agreement interpretation. Lorne continued his education in 1996 and graduated with a Masters in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University.
