$250,000 to Canadian Mental Health Association of NL
Today Pennecon launched a partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, and committed $250,000 to the organization over a 5-year period. Donation to the Janeway
Pennecon donated $100,000 to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation which is is a registered charitable organization created to raise funds to meet the financial needs of the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Funds raised go to capital projects, equipment, research, and programs directly related to the health and welfare of Newfoundland and Labrador Children.
Legacy Gifts for Education and Mental Health
Pennecon has two significant planned giving initiatives. One is a $2 million legacy gift to fund a research chair at Memorial University; the second is a $2 million legacy gift for the Healthcare Foundation to fund NL mental health and addictions programming.
Supporting WRDC’s Techsploration
Pennecon is a long-time supporter of WRDC’s Techsploration program which aims to provide young women with opportunities to explore trades, technical and technology-related occupations, while creating an awareness about the critical role of work in their lives.
