We are pleased to announce that the Kalaallit Airports Group has awarded Pennecon Heavy Civil the contract to construct a 1500 meter runway just outside the town of Qagortoq, Greenland.
The scope of work will span over a three year period, and will include:
- Construction of the runway, building and parking lot areas, and access roads;
- Upgrading and paving of the road from the town of Qaqortoq to the airport.
Pennecon’s Executive Chair, Larry Puddister shares that “Pennecon is extremely pleased that our Heavy Civil group has been awarded this important airport construction project. We look forward to working with Kalaallit Airports and bringing our construction experience to Greenland.
